The title poem began with an unsent letter, found years later in a drafts folder, and it is built like a cascading puzzle: every line hands a word, an image or a thread to the next one.
Some of these poems waited a long time for a book. One was written in a composition notebook during a snowstorm more than twenty years ago.

Ordinary people make choices that turn sharp in the hand. A debate, a piece of mail, an office shift, a family meal. Nothing begins with a cape, and nothing ends with clean certainty.
One story turns somebody else’s mail into a parasocial obsession. Another is, by the author’s own admission, her version of a scary story.

A fantasy novel, begun in 2011. The maps started as pencil on paper, were redrawn in Paint, and are now on their tenth version.
